India needs to capitalise fully on its young human resource to reap the benefits of our demographic dividend. It is the duty of the government to realise the full potential of the youth of a country. Government recruitment in India is designed to recruit the best minds to serve the Nation by giving equal opportunity to all through competitive exams and uphold Social Justice.

This is to bring your kind attention to the incapacity, inefficiency and unnecessary delays in the recruitment process caused by the current Chairperson and the members of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), a constitutional body and highest recruitment body of Government of Karnataka. It is affecting the future of millions of aspirants of Government Service due to corrupt practices in recruitment process. Making way for undeserving candidates to get into Government service which in turn induces corruption in the Government machinery.

KPSC has the following problems plaguing it.

1. Non-cooperation of the Commission (Chairperson and members) with the Secretary (Executive) of the Commission in bringing transparency and good practices in recruitment process.
2. Misusing powers of the Commission causing delay (8 months to 1 year) in approving the files (draft notifications and pending results) submitted by the Secretary. This delay causes nearly a year of aspirants’ life despite of repeated requests from the aspirants’ community against it.
3. Lack of transparency in interview process as apart of recruitment because of undue interference of Chairperson of KPSC.
4. Illegitimate appointment of Chairperson of KPSC.
5. Lack of grievance redressal system to hold the constitutional body responsible for their inaction and omission of their constitutional duty.
6. KPSC is far behind in transparency, efficiency and accountability compared to other State Public Service Commissions across India and do not hold a good reputation due to repeated cases of corruption. 
7. All of the above has been reported in the media.                                                                                                                                                    Due to the above reasons millions of young aspirants with passion for public service have lost confidence in KPSC.

We kindly request you to intervene on behalf of millions of aspirants and direct the Commission to adhere by their constitutional duty keeping the best interests of the young generations’ future. Incase of their non adherence please remove the current Chairperson and its members. In doing so you will reinstate the confidence of younger generation in the Constitutional body.
