Request to withdraw all charges against Sri Nithyananda Swami in India by Karnataka CID officials.
With the recent release of medical records of Ms.Aarthi Rao by the media, we, Swamiji's devotees in the US and around the world request the Honorable Consul General of India to look into Aarthi Rao’s false complaint and make our valid concerns known to the Karnataka CB-CID authorities so that this needless and painful harassment of Nithyananda can be put to an end forthwith and that all the false cases against Nithyananda be withdrawn immediately. We are not asking for anything beyond basic justice and observance of human rights.
Request withdrawal of all charges against Sri Nithyananda Swami in India by Karnataka CID
On behalf of supporters, devotees and disciples of enlightened Master and His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda (“Nithyananda”), we would like to lodge our strong protest against the continued harassment and abuse of our Guru. WE REQUEST THE IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF ALL CHARGES AGAINST SRI NITHYANANDA SWAMI IN INDIA BY KARNATAKA CID.
Breaking News & Developments in the False Case Against Nithyananda
On October 1, 2012, an Indian television station named Janasri exposed the false victim’s medical records spanning seven years (2004-2010) from the University of Michigan Hospital in the USA, which reveal that the accuser, a US citizen, has been a carrier of very highly contagious sexually transmitted disease (STD) including Herpes 2 since at least 2004. Nithyananda, also tested for the STDs, does not and has never had such diseases.
Nithyananda, whose ashram is based in Bidadi, Karnataka, is undeniably one of the most compelling and transformative leaders of Hinduism in recent times and sadly has been at the receiving end of one of the worst forms of religious persecution, by the very same authorities tasked to protect him, namely the Karnataka CID officials.
Since March of 2010, when the alleged rumors, morphed video and scandals first broke out, there have been a steady stream of unsubstantiated charges each more incredulous and abusive than the previous. In each of the case, the media stories and the facts of the case do not seem to hold up to any kind of impartial scrutiny. From day one, Nithyananda asserted that video was misrepresented, manipulated and morphed. No one listened. He was deemed as guilty until proven more guilty. Headlines read:
i. Condoms, drugs and secret contracts... the story of why Nithyananda is in trouble
ii.Nithyananda in police case for allegedly mixing 'holy' water with drugs
iii.Cops stumble upon 68-cr booty in ashram

Nithyananda was illegally arrested on April 21, 2010 and detained for 53 days. At the time of arrest, there was no victim, albeit the Karnataka CID tried very hard to locate a victim, even desperately placing ads on Facebook.
After Nithyananda was released from prison, in August 2010, an anonymous victim, “Amla” filed a lengthy statement alleging more than 40 incidents of sexual abuse in India and U.S from 2005 through 2009. The CID had what they desperately needed—a “victim”—to develop a case against Nithyananda.
About the “Victim”
This key witness was later revealed to be a Mrs. Aarthi Rao, a U.S. Citizen from Ann Arbor, Michigan and former devotee of Nithyananda. Aarthi Rao has since made very public statements to Indian media, filed written statements to U.S. courts and made police statements to local and federal law enforcement. Her modus operandi has been to file a complaint and abscond—she has not followed through on any of her statements & complaints in the U.S. Why? Because it’s very easy to give a written statement and not be answerable as any real investigation (deposition or hearing), which would reveal the holes and lies behind her bogus claims. As such, her U.S. complaint was quickly closed. However, in India, Rao has successfully maintained the “victim” persona and hasn’t had to undergo any scrutiny or be answerable for her serious claims. A sincere investigation into her claims would reveal that facts, as per Janasri TV News report October 1st and 2nd, 2012:
a. Contagious STD Carrier: Aarthi Rao is suffering from highly contagious sexually transmitted diseases since at least 2004
i. As noted previously, Nithyananda has also subjected himself to testing as recently as September 2012 and he does not have any of these diseases.
b. Illicit Relationships; Aarthi Rao had another partner (other than her husband) since at least 2009.
c. Fabricated Incident Dates: Aarthi Rao was in the U.S. on at least one of the dates she claims she was sexually abused in India.
Furthermore Aarthi Rao is under a criminal investigation in India for her involvement in a premeditated extortion scheme to get money from Nithyananda’s organizations, which not only included her planting the camera, morphing the video, but also threatening to make false claims of abuse (Chennai Extortion case No 782/2011).
These gory details reveal the real side of. Aarthi Rao in stark contrast of her claims of being an “Orthodox Brahmin” and “family woman.”
How Could This Happen?
This deception has been going on for more than two years. Why? Because the Karnataka CID did everything to promote her story and abuse Nithyananda and nothing to investigate it. Typical protocol for a rape victim is to submit them to a medical test. Was Mrs. Aarthi Rao ever medically tested? No.
We humbly request the honorable Consul General to look into Aarthi Rao’s false complaint and make our valid concerns known to the Karnataka CB-CID authorities so that this needless and painful harassment of Nithyananda can be put to an end forthwith and that all the false cases against Nithyananda be withdrawn immediately. We are not asking for anything beyond basic justice and observance of human rights. The ongoing religious persecution against Nithyananda is wrong, should be stopped and should not happen to anyone else in the future.
We sincerely thank you for your immediate attention to our request.
Devotees of H.H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda
