Christchurch has waited long enough.

For years, South Island fans have travelled hundreds of kilometres—paying for flights, ferry crossings, accommodation, and time away from work and whānau—to see the world’s biggest rock and metal bands. For many, that cost puts these concerts out of reach.

With the upcoming System of a Down & Faith No More New Zealand tour, we’re asking the promoter to add one show in Ōtautahi Christchurch at Wolfbrook Arena.

Ōtautahi Christchurch is New Zealand’s second-largest city and the gateway to the South Island. It is home to a passionate and loyal rock and metal community, and thousands of fans from Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Nelson, Marlborough, the West Coast, and beyond would support a Christchurch show.

Adding a South Island date would:

Give thousands of fans the opportunity to attend without the cost of travelling to the North Island.
Support local businesses, accommodation providers, hospitality, and tourism.
Create another outstanding New Zealand event for one of the country’s premier indoor venues.
Recognise the dedication of South Island music fans who have waited years to see these legendary bands.
