I am writing to bring to your attention the need for improved public transportation access to the Nova Scotia Islamic Community Center (NSICC). Our Center, located at 2143 Larry Uteck Blvd, Bedford, serves as a vital hub for the Islamic community in our area. It plays host to a number of programs, events, and services, including an Islamic school, matrimonial services, and funeral services.

Despite the importance of the NSICC to our community, the lack of nearby bus stops has made it difficult for many of our families and students without cars to attend these events and access these services. The nearest bus stop, for bus no. 90, is a 40-minute walk away, which is a significant barrier for many.

We request that Halifax Transit consider the needs of our community and arrange for bus services to be made available in the vicinity of the Nova Scotia Islamic Community Center. This would greatly improve access to the center for our community members and enable them to more fully participate in the programs and services offered there.
