Request timely release of NCERT/CBSE Part 2 textbooks
The Issue
I am Kavya Bansod, a Class 9 student, and like many of my classmates across India, I am struggling to keep up with an already massive syllabus. The delay in the release of NCERT/CBSE Part 2 textbooks is adding undue stress and making it difficult for us to adequately prepare for exams. This petition highlights the urgent need for timely access to our educational resources to ensure a fair academic environment.
At such a critical point in our education, where understanding and performance form the foundation of our future academic and life opportunities, it's essential for us to have complete access to our textbooks well in advance of our exams. Late release of Part 2 textbooks means that students are forced to cram vast amounts of information in a limited time, compromising the quality of learning. This is not only detrimental to our mental health but also unfair to students who strive to achieve academic excellence.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have long been esteemed for maintaining high scholastic standards. However, to uphold these standards, it is imperative that they ensure the timely availability of all educational materials. We believe that it is within the capabilities of these institutions to streamline the release process and prioritize the on-time distribution of textbooks.
Obstacles like delayed textbook releases hinder our ability to thoroughly engage with the material, conduct comprehensive revisions, and enhance our understanding. We are not asking for an easier syllabus but merely seeking adequate time and resources to learn effectively. By addressing this issue, NCERT and CBSE can demonstrate their commitment to educational fairness and support for students.
We urge the NCERT and CBSE to take immediate action to expedite the release process for Part 2 textbooks. Early dissemination of these resources will allow students, teachers, and educational institutions to plan, teach, and learn more effectively.
Please sign this petition to support students like me in getting the full educational experience we deserve. With your signature, we can appeal to NCERT and CBSE to make a change that will benefit thousands of students across India.
