Elephants are a vital part of Kenya's ecosystem. However, the elephants’ quantity are going down due to illegal poaching for their tusks. According to the search, hundred of elephants are killed each day by poachers (source: World Elephant Day). This horrible rate of hunting has led to a huge decline in elephant populations in Kenya. 

The Kenyan government has taken steps in the past to avoid this situation getting worse, but more needs to be done.
