As a resident of Park Hills neighborhood in Spartanburg, I believe that every child deserves a safe, accessible place to play and engage in physical activities. Currently, the lack of a dedicated playground, park area, or even a basketball court in both Park Hills and Park Hills South means that I have to take my kids and grandkids to another neighborhood just to find basic recreational facilities. This is not only inconvenient but also poses safety concerns for our children when walking to the nearest play area. This is why I am urging the city of Spartanburg to invest in creating a safe play space for our neighborhood.
