Request the City of Harrison Elected Officials apply for PARK and SIDEWALK funding
Request the City of Harrison Elected Officials apply for PARK and SIDEWALK funding
The Issue
Improve Harrison's Parks and Sidewalks for a Safer and More Economically Viable Community.
Residents and tourists of Harrison, Idaho, of all ages and abilities, are impacted by the current condition of our parks and sidewalks. Broken sidewalks, hazardous stairs, and dangerous railings create falling and tripping hazards for pedestrians, especially young children, seniors, and people with disabilities. Neglected parks offer limited recreational opportunities and detract from the overall beauty and economic opportunities.
The current state of our parks and sidewalks poses a safety risk to residents and tourists. Uneven surfaces and cracks can cause serious injuries, while a lack of proper walkways discourages walking and outdoor activity. Additionally, unkempt parks detract from the curb appeal of our city and can discourage potential residents and businesses from relocation and investment.
By applying for state and federal grants now, Harrison has the opportunity to secure funding to improve our parks and sidewalks without placing an undue burden on local taxpayers. Investing in these improvements will not only enhance the safety and well-being of our residents, but will also beautify our city and make Harrison a more attractive place to live, work, and raise a family.
Let's work together to make Harrison a safer and more vibrant community for all. Please sign this petition and urge our elected officials to apply for grant funding to improve our parks and sidewalks!
