For more than two decades, the residents of Horsefly, BC, including my grandfather and many of his neighbors, have enjoyed the serene and picturesque view of the lake and the joy of observing the local wildlife roam freely. This balance between nature and community has been a cornerstone of our lives here. Unfortunately, this peaceful coexistence has been disrupted by a new neighbor who has constructed an oversized fence around his property, extending down to the lake.

This fence is not just an eyesore; it poses a significant threat to our environment. The fence obstructs the natural migratory paths of wildlife, hindering animals from moving freely through their habitat. Studies have shown that barriers like these can lead to decreased biodiversity and alter animal behavior. The local ecosystem, once teeming with life, is now at risk of being permanently disrupted.

Resolving this situation amicably ensures a continued spirit of community neighborliness and shared enjoyment of the natural sceneries that Horsefly, BC, is known for. Our lake's view is something every local deserves to enjoy equally.
