On the 9th of November, 2021, I paid Rs. 87,900/- to the Electricity Board for the replacement of a high voltage power line passing dangerously over my home. This payment was intended to ensure the safety of my family and home by relocating this power line.

Tragically, just as the work was to commence, the original owner of the land, who had initially consented to the work, passed away. His son, now in charge of the property, has obstructed the proposed constructions, leading to an indefinite halt of the replacement process. Thus, the replacement of the hazardous power line is no longer feasible due to circumstances beyond my control.

This situation has left me, a person living in poverty, unjustly burdened with paying a substantial fee for services that cannot be rendered. The sum of Rs. 87,900/- represents a significant portion of my resources, money that I desperately need to provide for my daily needs.

In light of these challenging circumstances, I earnestly appeal to the honorable Associate Electrical Engineer at the Electricity Board in Kallidaikurichi to carefully consider my position and refund the fee paid. Such an action would alleviate the financial strain on my household and rectify an unintended consequence exacerbated by unforeseen events.

Your understanding and prompt response to this dire situation will not only bring relief to my family but also restore trust and confidence in the system we rely on to safeguard our lives and properties.
