The issue

My name is Reyna Nangan, and I am seeking your urgent support in requesting ministerial intervention for the approval of our Permanent Resident Visa application, which has been unjustly refused due to my former employer's negligence. This visa refusal has had a profound impact on my family since 2016, turning our immigration journey into a prolonged nightmare.

My daughter, Kaia, was born in Australia and has known no other home. She has built her life here, thriving in the community of Toowoomba. My husband, Karin, is of Thai origin, and I am Filipino, and together we have invested heavily in this country, operating a small family restaurant (Kaia's Kitchen Toowoomba) that has become an integral part of our local community.

Facing the challenges of immigration proceedings, we've placed our hopes in Australia's fair and just immigration system, only to be let down by circumstances beyond our control. We are a family contributing positively to the Australian society and economy, and all we're asking for is to be granted the right to stay in the place we call home.

We believe in the values of fairness, equality, and the opportunity for all. Given our investment in our community and the life we’ve built here, we ask the Minister of Immigration to look into our case with compassion and understand the exceptional circumstances that warrant ministerial intervention.

Your support can help raise awareness about the challenges faced by families like ours, who are caught in immigration limbo due to errors not of their making and deserve a fair chance to stay in Australia.

I kindly urge you to sign this petition to appeal directly for the Minister's intervention, allowing us to continue our life in Toowoomba and contribute as active members of the Australian community. Your signature could make all the difference for us in securing a stable and rightful future in Australia.
