We have been asked by the elders at camp to get the word out regarding the impending 'eviction day' on the 15th - THIS WEDNESDAY! We are predicting that people will be forcibly removed from these lands so that the desecration can go ahead.
We also note that Zallanach is still being held for minor offences. It is unlikely that he will be released before Wednesday. Taking him out of the picture on the front lines has removed a voice that gave crucial information and empowerment to the community on this shameful issue. The timing is sickening. What can you do? If you can get to camp this Wednesday then that is a number one priority. We need people putting their bodies on the front line in support of these sacred lands and their custodians. Second to that, get to the Melbourne Assessment Centre and offer support to the people camping there, or donate to directly to the Djap Wurrung Embassy https://dwembassy.com

Possible letter Dear.... Re Western Highway. Buangor to Ararat
Djabwurrung man Zellenach said “ I’ve finally had enough of what’s going on with my people.” It’s true, we have all had enough of MRPV’s attempt to desecrate sacred land and trees. The 11 months of protest shows clearly the land is of cultural significance.
As a Victorian, I ask you to take action on this issue and intervene. Please initiate a route review so that MRPV can take the Northern Option.
The effort that VicRoads has put in to resist doing the right thing is costing far more futile delays and waste of money than doing the right thing would cost.
Yoru sincerely,
