We are respectfully requesting consideration of an adjustment to the assessment weighting. A number of students experienced difficulty completing the assessment within the allocated time, and we feel that the current 20% weighting may have a significant impact on our overall module performance.

This petition is not intended as criticism of the lecturer or the assessment process. We are simply asking that an alternative weighting be considered that may provide students with a more balanced opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the module.

We would appreciate the lecturer/faculty considering reducing the assessment weighting from 20% to 10%, with the remaining 10% potentially being allocated to a class assignment similar to the previous assignment.
