A proud milestone for Bail Guard

Minor League Cricket (MiLC) has become the world's first semi-professional league to adopt bail guards as a safety initiative. Two MiLC 2026 matches were played with bail guards on the stumps on 17 September.

Minor League Cricket is a semi-professional competition played across the US, drawing national and international players and umpires.

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Zubin Surkari, Minor League Cricket Tournament Director, Mr. Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket, and the whole MiLC team, for leading on player and umpire safety.

Bail Guard is a free cricket safety device that stops a dislodged bail from injuring players and umpires. It has now been used across 829+ competitive games, and we have counted 4,300+ dismissals that dislodged the bails, each one a moment a bail guard was engaged.
