We, the undersigned registered voters of Springfield VT hereby petition for redress of the gun discharge ban ordinance within Hartness Park adopted August 12, 2024. We request the Town, Town Selectboard, Ordinance Committee and any and all appointed officials thereof to repeal it immediately and hereafter cease to regulate the discharge of firearms there for the hunting season purposes long safely enjoyed by those who wish to do so.

Hunters using Hartness Park do not discharge their firearms near roadways, houses or neighborhoods and have thus safely utilized the recreational area for over 50 years.
