Please no donations for this local Leesburg, Florida petition :)

The undersigned residents of the City of Leesburg and Unincorporated Lake County are opposed to new annexations and high-density developments until the City of Leesburg can accurately assess the impact that the over 30,000 (already approved) home sites and dwelling units will have on our infrastructure and environment.

Despite overwhelming public opposition, development projects continue to be approved without adequate consideration of the long-term consequences.  Countless residents voice their concerns at public meetings, only to be ignored by every vote to approve new construction that will negatively impact all of our lives.

Thus, we are asking the City of Leesburg to place a one year moratorium on new developments and annexations until they are able to provide a fully-funded plan to build the infrastructure necessary to support existing and approved developments.
