Subject: Request for Action on MLA Misconduct and Safeguarding Investments in Telangana

Respected Prime Minister,

My name is Sukumar Reddy Ellanda. I hail from Telangana and have been residing in Durham, North Carolina, USA, for the past 40 years. I am an entrepreneur and founder of a pharmaceutical company established over 25 years ago in the United States. Currently, I am in the process of setting up a pharmaceutical subsidiary in Telangana and had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Revanth Reddy, during his recent visit to the United States.

However, I wish to bring to your urgent attention a deeply disturbing matter. Several videos are in circulation here showing the Patacheruvu MLA verbally abusing and intimidating a civilian who merely raised a civic issue. This incident has shocked not only me but also the broader Indian diaspora who strongly believe in democratic values and responsible governance.

As an investor planning to contribute to Telangana’s growth, I am now deeply concerned:

What assurance do investors have regarding the safety of our investments and personal security in such an environment?
Are we expected to make recurring payments to certain public representatives to ensure our safety and the protection of our businesses?
If such practices are tolerated, it raises serious doubts about the rule of law and investor confidence in the state. This directly impacts the vision of building a strong, transparent, and globally trusted India.

Therefore, I humbly request your immediate intervention to ensure that such individuals, who misuse their office and disrespect democratic principles, are held accountable and removed from public positions of power. Only then can faith in governance, safety, and investment security be restored for people like us who want to give back to our homeland.

India is poised to be a global leader, and ensuring political accountability at every level is essential to achieve this vision. I sincerely hope for your decisive action in this matter.
