Anthony's conviction gave him two life sentences with 20 years to follow.  Despite the lack of evidence, he was found guilty.  He had a paid attorney who only showed up to court to attend the trial and it cost him his life.  Now we have to fight to have his conviction overturned.

Without the diligence that this case requires, he will continue to spend the rest of his life in prison.  As an innocent man, husband, father, brother, son and uncle, him and his kids stand to lose more than anyone else.  His kids will be part of a broken system and family with the knowledge of his accusations always hunting them and making them a target.  We will have another man mentally destroyed as well as his children.  Without a fight, the system will fail him and everyone that loves him.

Some attorneys are paid great money to fight for their clients while some are paid by the state.  Either way, their job is to represent their clients to the fullest extent possible.  Most don't do that.  Most do what they think they can or want to.  Most do the bare minimum.    As he stated in court, "we didn't have the budget to fight, so the burden of proof is on the state." Despite me making payments to his attorney, the full $15k was not paid as agreed.  Many times, I would have to withhold payment to get him to communicate with him.   Other times, I was doing the work he was being paid to do.  Not once, did he bring up an issue with money or needing more.  In fact, he stated that he respected that I was trying and doing the best that I could and that regardless, he would have to represent him in court.  But showing up when someone's life is on the life is just not enough.  He called one witness despite there being several witnesses and that was free.

I want to bring awareness to the attorneys that are in this for the money and not the clients.  They jeopardize the freedom of their clients and create turmoil among family and friends that are supporting them.  Their lack of ethics is dismissed and covered by laws to protect them. This needs to change.  We entrust them to fight for us when we pay them.

I also want this attorney to made aware of his negligence which cost so much damage and requires more money to be spent. His refund to me in full will help with these expensive costs.
