The Issue

We are petitioning Birmingham City Council to implement a Controlled Resident parking zone. Our street faces severe daily parking stress from shoppers, school traffic, and local car repair garages parking customer/trade vehicles on our residential bays.

Parking on our street has become a daily nightmare. We are constantly blocked out of spaces by shoppers from Coventry Road, school traffic, and commercial trade vehicles left behind by the local car repair garages and mechanics.

Worse still, the street is increasingly being used to dump abandoned cars, which take up valuable parking spots for weeks on end and make our road look untidy.

This constant influx of unaccounted outsider vehicles is drawing serious safety issues to our neighbourhood. We are increasingly witnessing anti-social behaviour, crime, and active drug dealing taking place at the end of the road inside these vehicles.

We can stop this by getting a Resident-Only Parking Permit Scheme from Birmingham City Council. This will stop outsiders, commuters, abandoned vehicles, and commercial trades from using our road as a free car park, making it much harder for criminals to loiter and park up at the end of our street.
