This will almost undoubtedly be the most important update to this petition, aside from its conclusion, so please read it in its entirety. Apologies for the length.

There are now over 46 thousand of us here today. While this is yet another major milestone in terms of people banding together in support of this petition, it is indicative of something much bigger than that. It is indicative of how inspiring Daniel was. It is indicative of the type of person that we all knew him to be. It is indicative of the fact that people saw through the veil of implications/insinuations that he was less than that person everyone knew he was. Indicative of a need for a change, not only in chess, but in the broader perspective, a change in how we respond to those who call out for help.

No longer can we allow these people to stand alone, and no longer should we tell them to “just ignore it and it will go away”. Time and time again he talked about how much these things hurt him, and how deep of a wound they left. Unfortunately, this wound was never given an opportunity to heal, and even now there are attempts to seemingly call into question his integrity. He even spoke about trying to just ignore it, and expressed how difficult/impossible this was.

This is the part where I tell all of you that, although you have already done so much in helping us get this far, I have to ask all of you to do just a little bit more. The following is what I will ask of you:

 1. Please, take the time to send this petition out in at least one way after reading this, even if you have already done so countless times. It doesn’t matter if it is just one post somewhere, or telling some family/friends about it, etc. Whatever it is, it will help.

2. Send this story to your favorite react streamer, youtuber, content creator, news/media org, chess player, or anyone influential you can think of who would be willing to talk about it. At this point, I have basically exhausted all of my options, and with me not being any of these it is almost impossible for me to spread this more than I have up to now. Although some of us here, if not most, fall into this category, as a group of this size we can definitely blow this story up even more. Also, along this line of thought, one person who would be perfect for this would be MoistCr1tikal (a.k.a. penguinz0), being that he has already spoken out about this situation and was a friend of Danya’s.

3. Keep getting the word out to the French town, Asnières-sur-Seine, and their mayor via the social media handles and contact info in the petition. This is the town where the street sign "Rue Vladimir Kramnik" is located. They are still silent on this, so far.

4. Don’t let FIDE or anyone else’s silence in response to our calls discourage any of you, because I can tell you from researching that it is practically impossible now that people involved in this or of whom we’ve made requests aren’t keeping track of this. It is being talked about and reported on by MANY.

5. Final thing I ask. Aside from you all, I need help from anyone who is close to this situation and/or the people involved. If any of them are willing/interested in collaborating on this effort, I have made a throwaway email address that I can be reached at. Also, same goes for any of you others; if anyone has any info that can help with the petition, or anything from Danya’s family/friends related to it, shoot an email to: needchangesinchess@proton.me 

For anyone who is close to the situation or people involved, I will likely ask you in response to your reaching out to do something to confirm who you are, of course. On this note, I do have some pretty significant information that I have just uncovered related to this whole thing, so if you are close to the family of Daniel, please get in touch.
