As this petition is about to reach 40,000 signatures, with still no response from FIDE or Emil Sutovsky its CEO as of yet, I'd like to use the moment of this unreal show of support to say another thank you to all of you. I can't express to you how happy I am to be part of this, and to see all of your comments and memories of Danya. There is and forever will be a beautiful, bright shining light in the chess community that was left by him. There is nothing Kramnik, Sutovsky, any other person or any organization they represent, can do or say to take that away.

Also, something brought up that I too think was becoming an issue, is that the body of the petition containing updates has severely bloated its content and diluted its message. Below is how I will address this and how it will affect the petition going forward:

When I initially made this petition, I wasn't aware of or convinced of the fact that it would ever get to this level, so I figured it would be a reasonable option to post "updates" to the landing page of the petition, instead of utilizing the "Post an update" option. I started doing this when the petition only had a couple hundred signatures and it kept from sending an email to ever person every time I updated anything, so I figured I'd commit to it. This turned out to be a HUGE mistake. On account of this, I completely understand the sentiment expressed by some that I mentioned above (that the body of the petition containing updates has severely bloated its content and diluted its message).

Being that this one has become more mainstream, the intention is to consolidate the body to the original petition info/demands and make some minor adjustments to it. Also, I will add all of that extra info being removed to a document, so as to preserve it, while cleaning everything up. You'll find a link to that document at the bottom of the revised petition. From this point, any highly critical updates, any major milestones such as this one, or any breakthroughs in the demands we are making will be handled like this update you are reading now. As I am writing this update (13:50 GMT, October 27, 2025), I am finishing up reading through the revised content of the petition, in order to ensure that none of the adjustments affect the initial/continuing sentiments of it or the requests/demands, and that it makes for a more cohesive, easily understood, and navigable page.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding, as well as allowing me to be a part of your voice in this way, and I hope to continue to do so until we see this through to its conclusion.
