The Issue

As a concerned member of the Granbury, TX community, I am alarmed by the unjust legal challenges facing Kolton Krottinger. Kolton, a Navy Veteran and owner of the Blue Branch historic ranch, is known for his dedication and generosity toward veterans and first responders. His ranch has become a sanctuary for many who wish to enjoy nature and find solace.

Kolton has been erroneously charged with the felony offense of Online Impersonation-Account Creation. This charge is based on a satirical post where he humorously photoshopped a political rival's image, making it appear as though she supported Monica Brown for school board. Importantly, no actual account was created, making the charge baseless and unfair. Additionally, other elements of the statute were not met.

To add to this injustice, Kolton's phone was confiscated without a warrant. This breach of his rights has left him with mounting legal costs, estimated by his attorney to reach $30,000. Such an expense is unmanageable for a man who has tirelessly contributed to our community's welfare, and earns a living as a social media influencer.

We need to come together to urge Hood County District Attorney Ryan Sinclair to review this case critically and drop these unfounded charges. Prosecuting Kolton under these circumstances not only misapplies legal resources but also represents a troubling misuse of power.

Kolton has always stood by our community. Now, it's our turn to stand by him. By signing this petition, you join a growing call for justice, fairness, and transparency. Let's ensure that Kolton can continue his mission to support those who protect and serve, without this undue legal burden.

Please sign this petition to tell Ryan Sinclair that Granbury demands justice for Kolton Krottinger.
