Kids from the 1990s remember how important it was to watch Ramayana during that time period.

My nani used to sit without slippers, holding both hands while watching Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana.

When this show aired on television in Ayodhya, there was literally no one on the road. People gathered in a circle to watch this serial.

The most important aspect of this show was Ramananad Sagar's writing, which simply teaches us how everything happened and became part of India's beautiful history. Nowadays, instead of learning, TV industry's main goal is to get the audience entertained. Even in 2023, I believe there is nothing on television that can compete with the quality of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana.

So it is my humble request that anyone born before 2000 sign this petition so that the Doordarshan team will hear us and remaster it for the sake of future generations.
