I own a seasonal waterfront restaurant with a patio that is accessible from the water as well as land. The existing bylaw allows for zero noise anytime of the day, which prevents me from having live entertainment—a huge draw for both locals and tourists. This current bylaw subjects me to complaints that not only result in my entertainment being shut down but also jeopardize my liquor license.

Lighthouse Cove thrives on tourism and community engagement, and live entertainment is an essential part of this experience. Changing the noise bylaw to allow reasonable levels of sound during specific hours would benefit local businesses, enhance visitor experiences, and boost our local economy.
