Request CBSE to revise Class 10 exam schedule
The Issue
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently released the tentative date sheet for the upcoming Class 10 board examinations. According to this schedule, students who have their language exams on 24th February are faced with the arduous task of sitting for their Science exam the very next day. This arrangement fails to account for the intensive preparation that Science requires, as it includes complex theories, practical applications, and numerous concepts that need to be thoroughly understood.
The lack of a sufficient gap between these critical exams places an undue burden on students, creating a stressful environment that hinders our ability to perform to the best of our potential. The additional strain can have a detrimental impact on our mental well-being, as well as our overall academic performance. It is essential for students to have an adequate amount of time to revise and comprehend the extensive syllabus of Science.
We propose that the CBSE re-evaluates and revises the current tentative date sheet to provide a more balanced schedule that offers students the necessary time to prepare thoroughly for each exam. By adding even a single day between exams, especially prior to the Science paper, CBSE can facilitate better academic outcomes and ensure a fairer testing process.
This is a pivotal moment for many students who are being judged on these crucial exams, and it is imperative that the authorities consider our well-being and academic success. We urge the CBSE to take these concerns seriously and act in the best interest of their students’ futures by providing a suitable gap between these exams. Please sign this petition to help us call for a fair chance to excel.
