Request an investigation into misconduct at St. Susanna Church

Request an investigation into misconduct at St. Susanna Church
The Issue
For 24 years, Reverend Stephen Josoma has served as the pastor at St. Susanna Church in Dedham, Massachusetts. During his tenure, the administration of the parish has reportedly been fraught with financial mismanagement, resulting in the troubling status of insolvency we see today. This issue has raised significant concerns among parishioners and the local community, igniting a call for accountability and transparency.
It is with a heavy heart that parishioners at St. Susanna believe that sacrilegious acts and financial malfeasance have taken place under Father Josoma’s leadership. Instances that reflect poorly on the sanctity of the church, such as the display of a desecrated Nativity scene, are simply unacceptable and have no place in our community. This situation demands immediate action and oversight to prevent further damage to the church’s reputation and integrity.
We are appealing to Archbishop Richard Henning of the Archdiocese of Boston to conduct an official and thorough investigation into these allegations. Such an investigation should delve deeply into the financial records and recent actions taken by Father Josoma. The goal is to uncover any malfeasance and assess the appropriateness of current church operations.
Should this investigation reveal probable cause, we request that Father Josoma be suspended pending termination of his career as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church. A change in leadership may be the only way to restore trust and faith in the community.
We also propose that serious consideration be given to repurposing the property to better integrate with the community’s current needs. One solution, should the church continue to flounder financially, is to put the property up for sale, sending a clear message about accountability and stewardship.
The future of St. Susanna Church is at stake. Our community deserves a place of worship that exemplifies the values of the Roman Catholic Church. We need transparency, accountability, and integrity restored at this parish. Your signature could help bring about the change needed to protect this cherished institution and ensure it remains a place of true faith and leadership. Please sign this petition to call for an investigation into the leadership at St. Susanna Church and advocate for a future of renewed sanctity and financial responsibility. Together, we can make a difference. Sign the petition today.
