The Issue

Due to submission errors, many candidates from Sri Lanka have been unable to secure a spot for the 2025  November MRCGP (INT)OSCE exam in Colombo. If we miss this session, the next available opportunity might force us to wait another six months and travel to Pakistan for the exam, posing significant challenges both financially and logistically. In the age of technological advancements, it's deeply disappointing that a submission error can impact our careers so heavily.

The importance of the OSCE exam in our professional journey cannot be overstated. This examination is crucial for our progression and ability to contribute effectively to the healthcare field. Missing the opportunity due to unforeseen and rectifiable submission errors is not only unjust but also places undue pressure on candidates who are diligently preparing for their futures.

Statistics show an increasing number of errors in online submission systems, affecting numerous candidates worldwide. In Sri Lanka, the issue has reached a point where many feel their futures are held in balance because of these technicalities. We understand that systems can fail, but it is imperative that a solution is offered to prevent long-term impacts on our education and careers.

We urge the authorities [ RCGP UK , MRCGP INT South Asia, Sri Lanka College of Specialist Family Physicians and College of General Practitioners of Srilanka ] to consider scheduling an additional 2025 November OSCE date/s in Colombo specifically for the affected candidates. This would not only ensure fairness but also uphold the integrity of the examination process, ensuring that no candidate is left behind due to errors beyond their control.

Please sign this petition to appeal for an additional 2025 November exam date/s in Colombo, allowing us a fair chance to continue our professional journeys without obstruction.
