Republish Blue Blood by Craig Unger

The Issue

Dear Macmillian, St. Martin's Press/St. Martin's Publishing Group, William & Morrow, and Craig Unger or any interested publishing company,

As you may know, Taylor Swift released a Grammy Award winning album called "Folklore" in 2020. One of the songs on this album was called "The Last Great American Dynasty", which is a song about a woman named Rebekah Harkness.

Rebekah Harkness was a woman of many talents, a patron of the arts, and a woman who wasn't afraid to live her life to the fullest despite the societal pressure to be & act a certain way. She was constantly criticized by her neighbors and the press. In 2021, women are still fighting against this same pressure, prejudice, and fighting to be treated equally. Many fans of Taylor Swift & more have been wanting to learn more about Rebekah Harkness and the only book that has been written about her is Blue Blood by Craig Unger - a book which you may own the publishing rights to or have the ability to publish. This book is rarely available & many people have scoured used book stores to find a copy. Unfortunately, some have bought these used books & resold them for $300-$600 because of the rarity. Some have seen an opportunity for profit with no interest in actually learning about Rebekah Harkness.

Everyone should have an opportunity to read this book and learn more about this eccentric woman, the details of her life, and what the later part of her life was like up to her eventual death. I would certainly love an opportunity to read this book & would immediately purchase my own copy if it were republished. Craig Unger has also said he would be interested in reprinting this book but needs a new publisher in order to do so. I hope you see that everyone who signs this petition shares the same feelings I do.

Please republish this book either physically or digitally, not just for fans of Taylor Swift, but for people who want to learn more about a woman who was seen as "the maddest woman this town will ever see" but she really just had a "marvelous time ruining everything".

Thank you
