The Republicans do not deserve to use this regal species as their symbol. There is no end to the environmental damage Republicans would do. Nor do they need a female led society as a symbol of their "War on Women".

There is a substantial body of evidence that suggests that 1) elephants have matriarchal cultures, 2) elephants have been known to have female-female sexual relations and affectional relations, and 3) female elephants seek and experience clitoral pleasure. Q.E.D. Elephants are not Republicans. Corollary: if we publicize this information, the Republicans won't want the elephant as their symbol any longer.
