The Issue

Carly Fiorina is being treated unfairly by the media, mostly ABC News. ABC News is holding a Republican Debate in New Hampshire on Saturday, February 6, 2016. In all other debates there were two tiers, the main debate and the "undercard" debate. The undercard debate was reserved for lower polling candidates. ABC has decided to discontinue this debate.

That's fine. But ABC is inviting all other candidates running in the Republican race and excluding Fiorina, the only female in the race. I don't want to call sexism, but if it quacks like a duck than it's a duck. Back in 2012, ABC allowed all 8 candidates running to participate in their pre-New Hampshire primary debate, regardless of polling. All of a sudden they changed their mind for Carly.

In this week's Iowa Caucus, Carly outperformed Governors Kasich and Christie (both of whom will be on the debate stage). She also defeated former Iowa caucus winners Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee. Now delegate wise, Carly earned the same amount of delegates that Senator Rand Paul, Gov. Jeb Bush, and Gov. John Kasich earned. For crying out loud, Governor Christie did not even receive a single delegate! Now to the polling issue, Carly is polling (on average) closely to Jeb Bush, and in some polls she is ahead of Dr. Ben Carson.

This is obviously an injustice. An injustice to the only female candidate in the race who brings balance to all of the insider candidates running. It would be wrong to exclude one candidate from 7 others who (some) are doing just as well or worse than her. That is not right.
