In light of the recent SECOND life sentence given to the inmate who mercilessly murdered Federal Corrections Officer Eric Williams, I propose that Pennsylvania Congressman Tom Marino and Senator Pat Toomey draft new legislation that stipulates a mandatory death penalty for the crime of killing a law enforcement officer on any level - be it a correctional officer, police officer, sheriff's deputy- anyone who has sworn an oath to serve, protect, and uphold the laws of our society.  This law is to send a message to future would-be offenders and a means to protect those who risk their lives every single day. Justice should NEVER fall short for those sworn to protect it!

It should be called Eric's Law
