On March 14, Representative Naomi Gonzalez was arrested for driving while intoxicated after she was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident in which she and two others were immediately transported to area hospitals.

As a representative and elected government official, Representative Gonzalez should be held to the highest accountability when it comes to upholding the laws of her state and the people that she represents. If her duty is to oversee and help ensure the well-being of her community, she should take responsibility for her choices and actions that do not contribute to that well-being, such as electing to drink and get behind the wheel, putting the lives of individuals at danger.
