Since the time of Albertus Van Raalte and the founding of the City of Holland, making sure Immigration law works to better incorporate new Hollanders into the legal system has been one of the keys of the success of this city and the wider West Michigan region. In light of President Trump's decision to revoke the DACA program, we urge Representative Bill Huizenga to support a legislative fix that will put into law the protections and assurances that DACA has done for the thousands of West Michigan young men and women who have used them to make our city and region a better place for everyone.
