Another holiday in our lovely town blasted by unneeded hazardous sirens. Neighbors questioning if a tornado warning is being issued as the peace is again smashed by the town's failure to communicate with first responders effectively. Tell the Neptune City Town Council and Mayor: listen to the community, stop the horn. Until we win, apparently the town will continue to blare your family gatherings and peaceful days with stress and injury-inducing noise. Loud sirens create a flush of the stress hormone cortisol in people, after being exposed to the town siren/horn every person who hears it suffers this effect leading to potential injury and illness. You deserve better.

You deserve peace. The ongoing startling sirens are meaningless to the public and responders alike, they signal nothing. Townspeople live under constant threat of alarm, that is unsafe.
