Replace Mills Memorial Hospital

The Issue

North West BC needs a Regional Hospital with trauma services.  With over 80,000 residents in the catchment area, Mills Memorial Hospital is the regional center for Health Care.  The nearest trauma center is in Prince George, BC.  This means critically ill and injured residents may need to travel up to 14 hours to receive advanced care.  The financial and emotional cost is high.

All surrounding communities would benefit from a new facility.  Specialist satellite offices can stem out into surrounding communities and increase the quality and quantity of medical services available to all.

The hospital is 61 years old and is beyond needing a renovation.  Mills memorial needs to be replaced. The Hospital is antiquated with virtually every department being landlocked.  Clinical services are at risk of  being compromised as new equipment needs more space and more power.  Mechanical infrastructures are at full capacity.

Please show your support for replacing Mills Memorial by signing this petition and writing to the Provincial Government.
