We tune in to Sunday Night Football to watch the Broncos. We shouldn’t spend the night wanting to mute the broadcast.

The September 27 Broncos–Rams game was the tipping point for me. Cris Collinsworth’s commentary felt more like rooting against Denver than analyzing the game. Other viewers voiced frustration too, questioning his praise of Stafford and the Rams’ offensive line and complaining about him bringing the Chiefs into the conversation.

Nobody is asking for a Broncos cheerleader in the booth. If Denver plays badly, say it. When Denver makes a great play, give them credit. Hold both teams to the same standard.

This petition is about how NBC presents its biggest football broadcast. Fans of both teams are watching, and we deserve analysis that helps us enjoy and understand the game. For me, Collinsworth’s commentary has become a distraction from it.

We’re asking NBC to replace Cris Collinsworth on Sunday Night Football with an analyst who gives both teams a fair shake.
