Preservation of live above all else.

Many who work as teachers, faculty, or any school position should agree that student safety is a primary priority. Out of all 50 states in the United States, Texas has one of the highest amounts of school shootings in the country. And because the Texas Legislature banned usage of personal devices in school ‘to lessen distractions in education’, they sacrifice a part of student safety. Students wouldn’t be able to call emergency services in case a school shootout happens, nor would they be able to say goodbye to their loved ones if they end up dying to a pull of a trigger.

Any school could be a target the next day. If the phone law were to be repealed, hundreds and thousands of lives could be saved. Everything is bigger in Texas, so let’s be the ones who save the most student lives.
