Hello friends that oppose Congestion Pricing! We have a major update on our effort to REPEAL and DEFEAT Congestion Pricing....

The Coalition in Opposition to Congestion Pricing has expanded and partnered with a newly formed group, "New Yorkers Against Congestion Pricing Tax". Our group includes a former City Councilmember, a Retired NYS Supreme Court Justice, Community Board Members, five lawyers, Leaders of Civic Organizations, and New Yorkers from all walks of life!

We have hired and retained a lawyer, Jack Lester, and raised over $20,000 to cover legal expenses. We have filed as a non-profit corporation. And, most importantly, we are filing a lawsuit in Federal Court to stop CP immediately. The suit seeks an injunction and a complete Environmental Impact Statement (not the shortcut Assessment that the MTA produced) to consider the impact on communities inside and outside the proposed zone on the three E's: Environmental Effects, Economic Hardship and Equity. Our lawsuit should be filed in the next two weeks!
