The Issue

I shouldn't have to be concerned about damaging my car every time I drive down Keegan Road. It's the road I take daily, and like many of the fellow residents, I've noticed how the deteriorating surface has taken its toll on vehicles. My own car has suffered damage, and it's simply not fair. The town's allocation of funds seems to overlook this important issue, and it’s time we bring it to attention.

Keegan Road has long been in a state of disrepair, with potholes and uneven surfaces posing a constant hazard to drivers. This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it's an issue of safety and financial burden that should be promptly addressed. Potholes and rough patches are not just cosmetic problems—they are causing significant damage to cars, potentially leading to costly repairs for residents.

According to recent studies, poorly maintained roads cost drivers hundreds of dollars in extra maintenance fees each year. The American Society of Civil Engineers has highlighted how inadequate road conditions can reduce the lifespan of vehicles, resulting in additional depreciation and repair costs. It's a financial strain no resident should have to bear alone.

Prioritizing the repair of Keegan Road is critical. Ensuring our roads are in good condition is not just a matter of comfort—it’s a necessity for safety and a part of responsible municipal governance. Funds need to be redirected or appropriately allocated to ensure important infrastructure such as Keegan Road is repaired and maintained adequately.

Let’s urge the town to take immediate action and allocate the necessary funds to repave Keegan Road. By signing this petition, you will help bring attention to this pressing issue and push for the much-needed improvements that will benefit everyone in our community. Together, we can make our voices heard and drive change that will keep our roads safe and our vehicles intact. Please sign and support this cause.
