The Issue

Residing in our close-knit community of Springdale Lake of Belton, Missouri, our patience has run thin and our determination has reached its peak. For too long, clean drinking water has been a luxury instead of a basic right. It’s a situation we have come to endure, but can no longer accept. Our neighborhood has been neglected, and the time for change is long overdue.

Despite our efforts to raise awareness about the subpar infrastructure, our community continues to face issues ranging from unsafe drinking water, frequent water service interruptions, and a deteriorating community. These problems not only inconvenience us but pose serious health and safety threats. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), contaminated drinking water can lead to various health risks, including gastrointestinal illnesses and neurological disorders.

The solution is clear but requires collective action. We urge the local government to prioritize the repair and upgrade of our neighborhood’s infrastructure, ensuring it meets safe and modern standards. Funding should be allocated for regular maintenance and upgrades of water lines to prevent contaminants from entering our water supply.

The health and safety of our families, friends, and neighbors depend on the swift actions of our local leaders. We need a commitment from our representatives to address these pressing issues before they turn into larger crises. By signing this petition, you advocate for a better, safer environment for all our residents. Our voices together can drive the change needed to transform our neighborhood’s infrastructure. Please sign and support improvement for a healthier future in our Springdale Lake community.
