People have been blocked for many years from touring the decks of the S.S. Nenana. She was completely closed to the public in 2018.

The S.S. Nenana is the last remaining steamer sternwheeler out of the 300 that once traveled the Tanana and Yukon Rivers supplying towns, and villages, building a military base, and transporting military men. 

The Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly members need to hear from the people that they want the S.S. Nenana saved to be shared with the world. She is on the National Register of Historic Places, and the highest honor available a National Historic Landmark.
