Although we do not agree or condone what Rep. Weiner has done, there are many unanswered questions that should be investigated. However, we are also hearing statements from the GOP that he should resign. They seem to have short memories, and we therefore ask, if Rep. Weiner is going to be asked to step down and resign, so should Senator Vitter. In Senator Vitter's case, he admitted he broke the law by using prostitutes. So far it does not appear that Rep Weiner did, and the media is in a feeding frenzy even though they know his young wife is pregnant, and this might have an adverse affect on her health.

Write your Congressman, all the main street media to include the major newspapers, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS and FOX. and ask them to have Senator Reid implement a formal investigation into Senator Vitters past actions.

Also request that the House Ethics Committee research the possibility that Rep. Weiner was "set up" by any conservative bloggers. It has been reported on MSNBC, that there were tweets exchanged in which the Univeristy student told Rep. Weiner was "hot".  This investigation should be carried out to ensure, that members of congress are not being targeted by conservative bloggers, who have no business trying to creat news instead of reporting it.  

We are not condoning, accepting or in any way agreeing with what Rep Weiner has done, but he has a young pregnant wife, and the media frenzy is not good for America. Please write your Congressman, the main stream media, i.e. newspapers, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, CNN and Fox to thoroughly investigate all the facts, including the possiblity that any monies exchanged hands, that this was not a set up as occurred in Acorn.

All members of Congress must be treated fairly and consistently, and neither party should have an ethics investigation not done, because a member of the party in control.  What happened is wrong, but it appears that Rep. Weiner is being treated very differently then Senator Vitters and this is not a good example for our citizens, children, or the families of those involved.
