On June 11th, 2005, 22 year old Todd Geib disappeared while walking home from a party in Casnovia, Michigan.  22 days later his body was found standing UPRIGHT in a private lake right in the middle of an area that had already been thoroughly searched. His remains only had little decomposition and his clothing appeared to be completely clean from water debris. An independent investigation revealed that while Todd had been missing for 3 weeks at that point, he had only actually been deceased for 2-5 days before being found. The autopsy report showed that Todd had NO WATER in his lungs at all, meaning it’s likely he was already dead when he entered the water. Despite all of this information/evidence, the Michigan State Police ruled Todd’s cause of death as “undetermined drowning.” They believe that Todd left the party intoxicated that night and just happened to wander to the lake and drown. This has caused major uproar as almost all evidence does NOT point to this. Todd’s mom, Kathy, has tirelessly fought for the Michigan State Police to reopen her sons case and to properly reinvestigate, but so far it seems as though this case is not being taken seriously.
