The Life Promotion Suicide Prevention Clinic at Griffith University mt Gravatt campus was a free clinic for people with extreme and complex mental health needs to see both a psychologist and psychiatrist in the one place as often as needed, there is nowhere else that offers this help and it was suddenly closed with no explanation. I have been writing to everyone to try and get this clinic reopened, the Qld premier, the health minister, the opposition, the media... but have had no response from anyone. I cannot find any psychiatrists who are willing to bulk bill anymore to try and help fill the gap of the closure of this clinic...why??? I don't know. I thought psychiatrists went into their chosen profession to help people but it seems all they are interested in is big paychecks. The government should be making more of these services available to the poorer community. NO MORE silence!!! This needs to be changed!!! People out there NEED this help!!! REOPEN this clinic!!!!! Provide bulk billing psychiatrists for the poor in desperate need!! PLEASE HELP before even more people take their own lives!!!
