The Issue

On November 3, 2024, 15-year-old Tripp Brazeale was pursued into the woods of St. Francis County, Arkansas, by local deputies. He was found dead two days later. St. Francis County authorities immediately and hastily ruled his death a suicide. Today, massive new revelations prove that the initial investigation was entirely compromised.

The Overturned Autopsy:

A second independent forensic autopsy has officially rejected and changed the original definitive ruling of suicide, altering it to "Undetermined". The forensic basis for the initial suicide ruling has completely collapsed.

The 49-Minute Bodycam Gap:

Officer Alvin "Trey" Bynum pursued Tripp into the thick brush and disengaged his body-worn camera for a staggering 49 minutes, leaving an entire window of Tripp's disappearance completely unrecorded.

The Pursuing Officer’s Patterns of Misconduct:

In May 2026, the City of Marion officially terminated Officer Trey Bynum after meeting with the Brazeale family's private investigators. It was exposed that Bynum falsified his hiring application to hide a history of internal discipline, including a 2020 written reprimand for severe insubordination and highly unprofessional conduct regarding a rape victim while working for a prior department.

Contradictory Last Words:

Immediately prior to vanishing, Tripp placed a frantic phone call to his mother. He stated he was surrendering, walking back toward the police lights, and explicitly asked her to come pick him up. This directly refutes any sudden claim of self-harm.

Unexplained Trauma:

Physical evidence reveals severe, unexplained defensive cuts across Tripp's hands and heavy bruising on his body, indicating a physical struggle occurred before his death.

Recorded Audio:

The officer's civilian ride along during the pursuit of Tripp has since been recorded on audio saying he could not have done anything different or told what really happened without getting former Officer Bynum in trouble. This was not included in the original reoprt.

For over a year, the Brazeale family has fought institutional silence to bring these facts to light. The combination of an overturned autopsy, a blacked-out police camera, a fired officer with a documented history of misconduct, & a witness admitting to not telling the entire truth to protect the officer means a local investigation is no longer acceptable. We petition the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to step in, strip jurisdiction from local authorities, and launch a full criminal civil rights investigation into the death of Tripp Brazeale.
