We, the undersigned community members, parents, extended family of parents, friends of parents, employers of parents, future parents and advocates, urge the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and local authorities to reconsider the temporary suspension of Kooper Kidz Child Learning Center's license and work towards its prompt reopening.
Kooper Kidz is more than just a childcare facility - it's a lifeline for countless low-income families in our community at the heart of District 1,5 & 7. With over 100+ children served, Kooper Kidz provides essential care, education, and support that enables parents to work, attend school, and build better lives for their families.
The sudden closure of Kooper Kidz, a minority owned and women owned facility has left many families scrambling to find alternative care, often at great financial and emotional cost. This not only affects the families but also has a ripple effect on our local economy and community.
