We are calling on the city of Mississauga, the Minister of Education and the Peel district school board to reopen Kings Masting Public School. Our community is vibrant and growing, with a substantial number of young families. Yet, our children are forced to endure bus rides to schools outside our area simply because we have lost access to a neighborhood school that once served us well.

The Peel District School Board has the authority to reopen Kings Masting Public School, thereby utilizing an existing infrastructure to ease current stress on families and children. By reopening this school, we can significantly reduce the problems associated with overcrowded schools in other areas, decrease transportation costs, and most importantly, provide our children with a local education they deserve.

Kings Masting Public School is a valuable existing resource that lies dormant while our children commute unnecessarily long distances each day. This situation not only truncates the quality time families can spend together before and after school, but it also places undue stress on our young learners. Lengthy bus trips can be exhausting and lead to decreased performance and engagement in studies, not to mention the potential safety concerns associated with long travel for young students.

Reopening Kings Masting Public School represents a sustainable solution that takes advantage of facilities we already have.
