Hi. My name’s Dale D., and I’m writing this because I’ve hit rock bottom. I just dipped a spoon into a tub of sugar-free vanilla yogurt and whispered, “It’s almost like Frosty Franks.” Reader—it was not.

Frosty Franks wasn’t just an ice cream shop. It was a Brooksville institution. Since it closed, the town just hasn’t been the same. Sure, we’ve got Dairy Queen and WaWas but have you ever tried to cry over a breakup while eating soft serve from a freezer aisle? It’s not the same when the cashier isn’t Frank and doesn't say, “Cheer up, kid, the sprinkles are on me today.”

I saw a toddler in Tom Varn Park last week pretending a pine cone was an ice cream cone. That child deserves better. We deserve better.

So I’m begging you—sign this petition. Let’s bring back Frosty Franks before I do something drastic, like try to make sherbet in my bathtub again.

Brooksville needs its swirl back. And so do I.
