Watch Seven’s Flashback highlighting the history of Queensland’s infamous prison. The remaining part of the prison - known as No.2 Division today - was opened in 1903; Boggo Road Gaol officially opened in 1883.
Thank you to Seven Producer Phil Hind for putting this episode together. See amazing and rare archive footage of Boggo Road Gaol - including Whiskey Au Go Go killer John Stuart's rooftop protest - filmed from the Channel 7 helicopter!

Over 10 years Jack Sim and his team built up Boggo Road Gaol into a heritage tourist attraction before having to close due to a development next to the prison.
The Gaol should become a major heritage tourism attraction - including a dedicated museum - for Brisbane, Queensland and Australia - like other historic prisons across the country.
