Renew the Martial Arts Drama Series "Warrior" on Max Streaming Channel

Renew the Martial Arts Drama Series "Warrior" on Max Streaming Channel
The Issue
As devoted fans and advocates for Asian representation in media, we are deeply moved by the series "Warrior". This show, inspired by Bruce Lee's own writings and featuring tributes to him in character lines and fight scenes, has been an important part of TV history. It is not just a high-quality martial arts drama; it is also a significant contributor to Bruce Lee's legacy. The fact that Shannon Lee and the producers managed to dock the series with a mostly Asian cast during times of #StopAsianHate is already an impressive feat.
After two successful seasons on Cinemax, Warrior struggled to get renewed for another season after Cinemax was incorporated by Warner Media. Despite this setback, the producers never gave up on conversations behind the scenes while fans made tremendous efforts on social media asking for renewal.
The show tells an authentic history of Chinese experience that addresses the origin of hatred towards Asians - something that remains relevant today as we continue our fight against racial discrimination. Furthermore, it adds incredibly valuable content to our understanding of Bruce Lee's legacy.
Well, if that wasn't enough, the series has a great script, with in-depth stories on each Chinese or non-Chinese character (there isn't any that is shallow or monotonous); Emmy-worthy performances; impeccable scenery, costumes makeup, and hairdressing; fight scenes that are especially amazing, with gripping choreographies, performed mostly by the actors themselves. However, the entire stunt team is highly qualified and participates in the collective fight scenes, as extra in lots of scenes, and also choreographs and rehearses the actors. It's really exciting to watch.
It would be a great loss if such an influential series were not given another chance at continuation. We urge Warner Media and MAX to renew Warrior for another season so we can continue learning from its unique storytelling approach while enjoying its high-quality martial arts drama sequences.
